The DAAD Jakarta Office, established in 1990, promotes academic exchange between Germany and Indonesia. It provides information about institutions of higher education as well as research institutes in Germany. In addition, it disseminates publications about study, research and fellowship opportunities in Germany.
The DAAD has been supporting academic exchange between Germany and Indonesia for decades, providing long-term fellowships as well as short-term research grants, supporting guest professorships and helping to establish university collaborations. Currently, Indonesia is one of the target countries in a joint initiative to attract highly qualified international students and researchers of high calibre to Germany.
