Beside its headquarter in Bonn, the DAAD runs 14 regional offices in selected cities all over the world. The DAAD Jakarta Office opened in 1990, documenting the long tradition of Indonesian-German ties in higher education. Its mission is to nurture that excellent relationship. On the following pages we inform you about the activities and services offered by the DAAD office Jakarta.
The DAAD Jakarta Office, promotes academic exchange between Germany and Indonesia. It provides information about institutions of higher education as well as research institutes in Germany. In addition, it disseminates publications about study, research and fellowship opportunities in Germany.
The DAAD has been supporting academic exchange between Germany and Indonesia for decades, providing long-term fellowships as well as short-term research grants, supporting guest professorships and helping to establish university collaborations. Currently, Indonesia is one of the target countries in a joint initiative to attract highly qualified international students and researchers of high calibre to Germany.
