1 Does my experience as a lecturer assistant qualify me to apply for the scholarship program “Long-term Research Grants for Doctoral Candidates and Young Academics and Scientists and Study Scholarship for Graduates of All Disciplines”?  Yes it does.
2 Is there any scholarship program offered for researchers who do not work for a public institution?  Yes, the scholarship program “Long-term Research Grants for Doctoral Candidates and Young Academics and Scientists and Study Scholarship for Graduates of All Disciplines”, is open to you as well, but only for Doctoral programmes. 
3 Is there any homepage where we can find names of German professors, so that we can contact them?  We recommend you to check www.research-explorer.de, www.phdgermany.de, www.higher-education-compass.de and www.research-in-germany.de/downloads
4 In order to be able to apply for a DAAD scholarship program, do we have to be accepted at a German university? Yes, in several scholarship programs you do, certainly for all Doctoral programmes. Please find out the details in “DAAD Scholarships”. 
5 Can I apply for a scholarship if I have not been accepted yet at a German university?

However, a preliminary acceptance is always helpful.

6 If I am currently studying in Germany, can I apply for a scholarship?  If you are currently studying in Germany you can apply for various scholarships (for relevant links click here. However, for most DAAD scholarships you may not have been living in Germany for more than one or two years. Please find out the details in “DAAD Scholarships”.
7 Is it possible for Indonesians who graduated at a university in another country to apply for a scholarship?  Yes it is.
8 If my TOEFL score is 1-10 points less than the required score, would my application still be considered? No, it would not.
9 The age limit can not be negotiated? Most DAAD scholarship do not have age limits.
10 Regarding the two years of working experience, is it cummulative or should I have worked for two years in one company?  You are obviously talking about our 'Postgraduate Courses for Professionals with Relevance to Developing Countries'. 11 If I am currently unemployed, but I have two years of working experience, can I apply for scholarship for professionals?  No, you can’t. 
12 Is German language a prerequisite for a scholarship?  In many programs it is not. In several programs it is. It depends on the course and subject. 
13 How is the selection process of a scholarship program?  The selection process varies with the scholarship program. For some programs, a personal interview is required. In some programmes, telephone interviews are conducted, other scholarships are selected based on quality of proposals only. In any case, make sure you fulfill whatever requirements are listed. The requirements are not negotiable and complete documents must be handed in on time. The “Long-term Research Grants for Doctoral Candidates and Young Academics and Scientists and Study Scholarship for Graduates of All Disciplines” program has interview sessions for applicants who fulfill the requirements. 
14 How would we know the announcement of the scholarship result?  You will receive a personal letter and E-mail. 
15 How many times can we apply for the same scholarship? Maximum twice.
16 Is there any possibility for the family to join the scholarship holder in Germany? DAAD's Longterm Scholarship awardees do get a family allowance and may bring their families to Germany.
17 Is there any time limit in which a scholarship project has to be completed?  Yes, there is. For Masters degree: 24 months, for Doctoral degree: 36 months. 
18 What happens if I do not finish the programme on time?  Unless you have very good reasons for not having finished on time, you might be kicked out of the programme and even be required to pay back your scholarship.
19 If a scholarship holder, due to some reasons, can not finish his study in Germany, would there be a punishment? See answer in no. 18
20 After I finish my study with a scholarship from DAAD, can I stay in Germany, for example if I get a job there? Yes, you are welcome!
21 Can I apply for more than one scholarship program in the same time or in different time but in the same year? Would that make sense? But I suppose theoretically speaking you can.
